Wow...exhausted. I attended three panels tonight. Probably the most interesting of which was one hosted by three "game writers." They gave some pretty good insight into what the life of a game writer--that is, the people who actually write the story and plot of a RPG or other video game--is like. It was neat to see what goes into that and how it differs from novel writing. Although, I must say, I walked away with a more thankful attitude that what I love is novel writing and not something like screen or game writing. Its just so much cleaner.
Also attended some cool science panels. One on Science vs. Intelligent Design, which was more generally educational than writing specific, and one on odd medical studies, which was more laugh out loud funny than anything else--although, considering it started at 10:00p, I think that was the point.
Tomorrow I start my actual writing workshops which I am really looking forward to. But I should squeeze in some general con stuff in there too.
All right, pizza is here. I'm going to eat (never did get a chance to grab dinner) and probably pass out. I can't believe today was my easy day! Writing conferences rule.
