About Jason:
Born the humble son of a shipper, Jason currently lives in a small town about twenty minutes south of Worcester, MA with his wife and five year old daughter. He has been writing fiction seriously for the last several years (soon after finishing college) and is currently hard at work polishing up the first draft of his second fantasy novel. When not happily lost in fictional worlds via his MacBook keyboard, Jason pays the mortgage writing patent applications (on a significantly less elegant IBM Thinkpad keyboard).
In addition to the essays and articles posed on the Stone Tower, Jason maintains a more traditional blog (it's very touchy-feely and uber "bloggy") over at www.sevenmoreyears.com.
About Stone Tower:
Started in July of 2006 as an experimental outlet for Jason's nonfiction writing, the Stone Tower (www.jasontoomey.com) has evolved into a home for Jason's collection of nonfiction narrative essays. Sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant (and often times both), these essays give Jason a chance to stretch his writing muscles in ways fiction and technical writing often don't. Plus, they are fun to write and (hopefully) read.
In addition to these formal essays, Jason also sometimes posts humor and opinion pieces just for fun. Comments and thoughts on all posts are welcomed and encouraged.
The Stone Tower is updated on a semi-irregular basis. Despite the structure of the actual website, it's not--and never was--intended to be a "blog." Jason makes an effort not to let too many weeks go by between updates but deadlines, schedules, and real life tend to take precedence.
